I love collecting old hand-made vintage fabrics and then use them in my designs. For me, working with vintage textiles is about seeing and feeling the texture and history of the place they come from. I like the fact that the old fabrics or materials can be re-cycled and re-used again and again and see how I can breathe a new life into them. I enjoy mixing all sorts of fabric and this bag is an example of it. Here I am combining the modern black sateen fabric with traditional turkmenian embroidery, antique black and red silk tassels, russian ribbons , antique uzbek silk embroidery (suzani) and wool tartan for handles. This bag is spacious and can be used on numerous occasions.
